Dead Zed's Revenge is a small, invite-only community challenge site built for a Dead by Daylight-inspired streamer challenge. This privacy policy explains what information the site collects, why it is collected, how it is used, and what control you have over it.

This page is written in plain language because nobody should need a legal build guide to understand what a spooky fox tracker does with their data.

Important: Dead Zed's Revenge is not affiliated with Twitch, Behaviour Interactive, Dead by Daylight, or any related rights holder. It is an unofficial community project.

1. Who runs Dead Zed's Revenge?

Dead Zed's Revenge is operated by the site owner.

For now, the contact method is:

A dedicated contact email may be added later. When that happens, this policy should be updated.

2. What data we collect

Dead Zed's Revenge uses Twitch sign-in so the site can identify your challenge run.

When you sign in with Twitch, we collect and store:

• your Twitch user ID;
• your Twitch display name;
• your Twitch profile image/avatar URL;
• the date and time your Dead Zed's Revenge account was created.

We also store game progress data created while you use the site, including:

• your challenge runs;
• trial history;
• current survivor progress;
• Bones and Tears balances;
• matches played;
• deaths and escapes;
• selected perks, items, challenge choices, bingo tiles, outcomes, and related trial events;
• timestamps for runs and trials.

This data is needed so the site can remember your progress, resume interrupted trials, show your dashboard, and display relevant leaderboard or progress information.

3. What we do not collect

Dead Zed's Revenge does not request or store:

• your Twitch email address;
• your Twitch password;
• Twitch channel permissions;
• Twitch chat permissions;
• Twitch subscription information;
• Twitch payment information;
• private Twitch messages;
• any permission to post, chat, moderate, or act on your behalf.

If Dead Zed's Revenge ever requested extra Twitch permissions, Twitch would show those permissions during login before you approved access.

4. Twitch sign-in and access tokens

Dead Zed's Revenge uses Twitch only to confirm who you are.

After Twitch confirms your identity, the site creates or signs into your Dead Zed's Revenge account using your Twitch identity.

Dead Zed's Revenge does not save Twitch access tokens or refresh tokens.

Access tokens are temporary keys that can let an app access Twitch services after login. Since Dead Zed's Revenge does not need to call Twitch again after identifying you, those tokens are not stored. This reduces the amount of sensitive account-access data held by the site.

5. Invite-only access

Dead Zed's Revenge is currently invite-only.

When you enter an invite key, the site checks whether the invite key is valid before sending you to Twitch sign-in.

The invite key is used to control access to the beta. It is not intended to collect additional personal information about you.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Dead Zed's Revenge uses essential cookies needed for the site to work.

These may include:

Authentication cookies

These keep you signed in after Twitch confirms your identity.

Without these cookies, the site would not be able to remember that you are signed in when you move between pages.

Temporary external login cookies

These are used during the Twitch login process so the site can complete the sign-in flow safely.

Anti-forgery and security cookies

These help protect forms and game actions from cross-site request forgery and other unwanted requests.

What we do not currently use cookies for

Dead Zed's Revenge does not currently use cookies for:

• advertising;
• cross-site tracking;
• analytics profiling;
• selling data;
• marketing retargeting.

Because the current cookies are essential for login, security, and gameplay, they are needed for the site to function properly.

7. Technical and security information

Like most web applications, the hosting platform and security systems may process technical information such as:

• IP address;
• browser and device information;
• request times;
• error information;
• security and rate-limiting events.

This type of information is used to keep the site reliable, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and protect the invite-only beta.

Dead Zed's Revenge also uses rate limiting on authentication and trial actions to reduce brute-force attempts, accidental double-submits, and scripted misuse.

8. How we use your data

We use your data to:

• sign you in;
• create and maintain your Dead Zed's Revenge account;
• identify your challenge runs;
• save and resume your progress;
• calculate Bones, Tears, escapes, deaths, outcomes, and challenge progress;
• show your dashboard;
• show progress or leaderboard information;
• protect the site from abuse;
• troubleshoot bugs and keep the site working.

We do not sell your data.

9. Public display of your information

Some information may be shown inside the site, especially where the site displays progress or leaderboard-style information.

This may include:

• your Twitch display name;
• your Twitch avatar;
• your challenge progress;
• run status;
• leaderboard or progress ranking information.

Do not use the site if you do not want your Twitch display name, avatar, or challenge progress to be visible to other invited users or viewers of the challenge experience.

10. Site artwork and likeness-based content

The site may display artwork, portraits, character illustrations, or other visual assets based on Morf's likeness or Morf-related character references.

Those assets are part of the site content. They are not generated from visitor account data and are not linked to your Twitch account unless you are Morf or another person specifically depicted in the site artwork.

11. Data sharing

Dead Zed's Revenge does not sell your personal data.

Your data may be processed by service providers needed to run the site, such as:

• web hosting providers;
• database providers;
• security and infrastructure services;
• Twitch, when you choose to sign in through Twitch.

These services process data only as needed to provide the site, authentication, hosting, security, and related technical functions.

12. Data retention

Dead Zed's Revenge keeps your account and challenge data for as long as your account exists or as long as needed to operate the challenge site.

If you delete your account, the intention is to delete all data linked to your account, including your Twitch-linked account record and your stored challenge run/trial data.

Some limited technical records may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or hosting/security systems until they expire through normal retention cycles.

13. Downloading your data

A Download my data feature is planned.

Once available, you will be able to request a copy of the data Dead Zed's Revenge stores about your account and challenge progress.

14. Deleting your account

A Delete account feature is planned.

Once available, this will delete the data linked to your Dead Zed's Revenge account, including your account record and challenge progress data.

15. Your choices

You can choose not to use Dead Zed's Revenge.

You can also:

• stop using the site;
• sign out;
• request a copy of your data once the download feature is available;
• delete your account once the deletion feature is available;
• contact the site owner about privacy questions.

Because Twitch sign-in is required, you cannot use the authenticated challenge features without connecting a Twitch account.

16. Children's privacy

Dead Zed's Revenge is not designed for children and is not intended to knowingly collect data from children.

If you believe a child has used the site and provided personal information, contact the site owner.

17. Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated as the site changes, especially when new account deletion, data download, analytics, email contact, or other features are added.

When the policy changes, the Last updated date at the top should be changed.
